VETUS offers a variety of solutions for connecting the propeller shaft to the engine gearbox. The flexible rubber element in a flexible coupling ensures low noise with vibration-free transmission, without any play between the engine and the shaft. For smaller shaft systems up to 30 mm, depending on the space in the engine room, you can choose between Bullflex, Combiflex, Uniflex type 13, or KO5. These shaft couplings allow for a misalignment of up to 2º. For applications with so-called V-drives, only KO5 works. For shaft systems up to 70 mm, you can choose between Bullflex and Uniflex 16.
Last but not least, VETUS also offers VETUS VDR. This CV joint with built-in thrust bearing is used when there are larger angular differences between the shaft and the engine.
